One of the reasons to wear an eye pillow is to block out any light to assist with relaxation and switching off from your day, but it is also thought to trigger the nervous system to promote a sense of calm and perhaps a night of deeper sleep. The thought is that it helps your body naturally produce serotonin and melatonin.
The use of lavender is to aid relaxation as it has calming properties. (Unless of course you can't stand the smell of it then it probably has the opposite effect!) I do have non lavender Eye Pillows that you can add a few drops of your favourite essential oil to. Chamomile is a good one to assist with sleep.

Welcome to Willow Moon, where creativity meets passion! My name is Keri I am the founder of this wonderful space. With a background in textiles, I have always loved creating beautiful things. After years of designing and making bridal wear under my own name, I then taught Design Technology (specialising in Textiles) at secondary school level. I decided to take a break in July 2023 and focus on developing Willow Moon. I love to create items that are linked to my interests, including yoga, and the wonders of crystals.
